Daysol Coffee Looks and Feels Like a Brewery in Birmingham
Daysol Coffee Opens in Birmingham with a Brewery Vibe
Daysol Coffee has officially launched in Birmingham, Alabama’s Lakeview District, transforming a former brewery space into a vibrant coffee haven. Co-Founder Bert Davis envisioned a coffee roastery and shop reminiscent of a brewery, complete with an elevated Diedrich IR-12 roaster where patrons can watch the coffee-making process while enjoying an array of beverages.
The 8,000-square-foot facility offers classic espresso drinks, specialty lattes, and cold brews on tap, alongside freshly made syrups featuring unique flavors like honey cinnamon and rosemary lavender. The menu has evolved from the simple drip coffees of Daysol’s previous location in Helena to now include breakfast tacos by Ladybird Taco and pastries from Bandit Patisserie.
In 2023, the business transformed by introducing its first espresso program and relocating to a more prominent spot in Bluff Park, where both retail and roasting are now consolidated. The interior features Americana vibes with rustic wood floors, and plans for a gallery showcasing local artists, as well as an outdoor stage for live performances.
Davis expressed his excitement about this new chapter, highlighting his methodical growth over nearly a decade. With strong community interest already evident, Daysol Coffee is positioning itself as a hub for coffee lovers and event gatherings alike, offering a space that truly embodies the spirit of the brand.
